Okay, technically just my life got eaten, not my brain.
FAMILY SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU ARE HAVING CHRISTMAS AT DAD'S HOUSE, AND WANT YOUR GIFTS FROM ALASKA AUNT TO BE A SURPRISE, READ NO FURTHER.
I have to make stuff (from me), and buy stuff. The brain was eaten mainly by the fun task of buying for my sister - not to give to her, but from her, to the multitude of kids. I generally do Alaska theme stuff for her (not surprising). But I know the kids better, so can spot what would work for them.
This year, it's jam and syrup. There are other brands, some with flavors I like even better (like pure rhubarb with no strawberry, and straight birch syrup - which has naturally occurring polyols, another no-go for Fructose Malabsorption, but I can use it myself) - but they're made with fructose. The ones I bought (first link) are made with sucrose rather than fructose, so there's a tiny chance my kids can eat them (in extreme moderation).
And the Birch Boy stuff is transitioning to organic cane as a sweetener, so I'm keeping them on my list to watch for later... mmm...
Anyway, between that and looking at the professional photos of my kids from that wedding they were in, posting slipped. My bad!
Still, Christmas gifts ordered. That's a big chunk of tasks covered all at once. WOO!
